Overview
Blended learning, intentionally integrating on-campus class meetings with asynchronous online learning activity, is the norm in hundreds of Corvallis and Cascades campus courses. The Center for Teaching and Learning (CTL) in the Division of Academic Affairs is partnering with UIT-Academic Technologies and Ecampus to support faculty development around blended pedagogy.
Blended learning projects are designed to build faculty capacity for improved course design and delivery, to improve student engagement and learning, and to share lessons learned with the broader OSU community. The 2025-2026 Blended Learning Faculty Fellow will undertake one or more major projects to supplement CTL staff in these efforts. CTL will coordinate with Academic Technologies and Ecampus where appropriate, and will support the work of the Faculty Fellow throughout the academic year.
The Fellow will have opportunities to be involved in coordination, design, and facilitation of faculty development around blended learning. The Fellow will support CTL’s strategic goals of enhancing student success and developing a culture of teaching innovation at OSU. The Fellow will also have opportunities to participate in leadership meetings and engage with colleagues in the CTL and related academic and administrative units. Note that this is not a research fellowship, though the Fellow may be involved in CTL data collection and assessment that may be published.
Responsibilities of the Blended Learning Faculty Fellow may include:
- Development of CTL resources and faculty development programming
- Co-facilitation of faculty learning communities (e.g., Teaching and AI or Resilient Teaching)
- Support of faculty in exploration and implementation of innovative pedagogical methods
Please also see description for all CTL Fellowships for the list of expectations and responsibilities, as well as details about how to apply.
