Dear instructional faculty,
OSU's Center for Teaching and Learning invites applications for the Winter ‘25 faculty learning community (FLC) on the topic of Teaching and Artificial Intelligence. Participants will develop and refine teaching strategies to leverage the opportunities and meet the challenges brought about by ubiquitous generative AI tools. Co-facilitated with Academic Technologies, this learning community will provide a collaborative space to learn alongside pedagogical specialists, AI experts, and teaching colleagues from across the university.
The AI FLC is a professional development program that provides $1,000 to instructors who fully participate, as described in the call for participants. The learning community blends five required Zoom meetings with online learning activities in Canvas throughout the term and culminates with a showcase event.
Fixed-term and tenured/tenure-track faculty who regularly teach credit-based Corvallis and Cascades campus courses are eligible to apply. AI beginners are welcome. Space is limited. Please note this learning community is not for the development or redevelopment of Ecampus courses.
Apply by Thurs., November 21st to be considered. Accepted participants will be notified in early December. Contact [email protected] with any questions.
Sincerely,
Ashley Holmes, Ph.D., Associate Vice Provost for Teaching and Learning
