Dear Colleagues,
We hope that your winter term is off to a great start. We are excited to share with you that the Center for Teaching and Learning (CTL) and Ecampus are jointly hosting a winter AI showcase to highlight ideas and exemplars about how to address AI in courses across modalities.
In this event, you will hear from five faculty who have been experimenting with how to address AI in their courses, from course policies co-created with students, to assignments where students engage with a generative AI tool and reflect on what they learn. Your colleagues will also discuss key considerations for how to ensure that students continue to engage in deep learning.
Our speakers include:
- Bret Carpenter, College of Business
- Demian Hommel, College of Earth, Ocean, and Atmospheric Sciences
- Ana-Maria M’Enesti, College of Liberal Arts
- Colin Mulligan, College of Health, and
- Ehren Pflugfelder, College of Liberal Arts
The hybrid showcase will take place on Tuesday, Feb. 11 from 10:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. PT on the Corvallis campus in the Memorial Union, Multipurpose Room (MU 13) or via Zoom. Hot beverage service will be available for in-person attendees.
We look forward to seeing you there.
