Biography:

Dr. Howland provides curriculum design and pedagogical support for OSU teachers. Prior to working at OSU, Dr. Howland taught in the School of Education for the University of Southern California, the University of California, Irvine, and the University of California, Los Angeles

Past achievements for Brooke include a nomination for Dissertation of the Year and Professor of the Year awards. She also taught for the multi-award-winning MAT@USC program and received recognition for the design and development of an online course used as a student engagement model for all UCLA faculty. With a doctorate in teaching education, Brooke advances teaching excellence by supporting campus-wide teaching and learning initiatives that foster transformative education; strategic learning outcomes; effective use of technology; differentiated instruction; active learning pedagogy; and discipline-based and multi-media literacy.
